Coral Rumble

Coral Rumble is a much-loved, award-winning poet who specialises in writing and performing for children. She also performs and gives workshops in schools and at art centres, museums, bookshops, libraries, theatres and festivals.

Coral has contributed to around 150 poetry anthologies for children and has five solo collections of poetry: Riding a LionThings That Should Be In a Poem, Creatures, Teachers and Family Features, Breaking the Rules, My Teacher's as Wild as a Bison, and the verse novel Little Light. Jakub’s Otter (2023) is her first work of fiction.

Coral was featured in Favourite Poets published by Hodder Children's books, and in 2018 she won The Caterpillar Poetry Prize. Her verse novel Little Light was shortlisted for the UKLA award 2023 and was a National Poetry Day Selection 2021, while Things That Should Be In a Poem was shortlisted for the Spark School Book award 2022/2023.
