New CLPE Podcast: the importance of poetry in schools & interview with CLiPPA 2020 award-winner Zaro Weil

The Centre for Literacy in Primary Education (CLPE) has just launched its very own podcast, focusing on education, primary literacy and high quality children's literature. In episode 2, Charlotte Hacking discusses a topic close to our hearts: the importance of poetry in schools.

The episode also features a delightful interview with CLiPPA 2020 award-winner Zaro Weil, who talks about her winning poetry collection Cherry Moon and gives some fascinating ‘behind the scenes’ insights into how she worked with Chicago-based illustrator Junli Song to create this stunning combination of poems and artwork.
