Poet Dom Conlon and illustrator Viviane Schwarz, creators of This Rock, That Rock (“playful and thought-provoking” - The Guardian Children’s Books of the Month), recently spent an hour with former Children’s Laureate Chris Riddell exploring a raft of excellent poems and creating some wonderful off-the-cuff images.

This Rock, That Rock commemorates 50 years since the Appollo 11 landing and celebrates our Moon in a multitude of ways. In it you’ll find a wealth of poetry forms: there are haiku and sonnets, acrostics and shapes, kennings and metaphors and slang, and a whole variety of rhymes and rhythms. Dom’s reflective poems are perfectly complemented by Viviane’s atmospheric illustrations.
